Called the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), this highly-respected, internationally-recognized curriculum is used in over 900 schools in 58 countries worldwide. World Class Learning Academy, a school opening in September 2010 on the Manhattan’s Lower East Side, will offer the IPC as the centerpiece of its learning program initially to children ages 3-11 (Pre-K through 5th Grade).

12/4/2009	British American School of Charlotte Collects books for SOS Jamaica Children’s Villages. A parent at British American School of Charlotte recently visited the SOS Village in Jamaica. When she asked the orphans what they wanted most, they answered that they craved books more than anything else. Because of that, SOS Jamaica is building a library for the children who reside there. When the Community Service Club at the British American School of Charlotte heard this story, they decided to help stock the library by collecting books for the SOS Village library.

9/30/2009	School Closure Update and Seasonal Flu Vaccination information The Supreme Education Council (SEC) hosted a meeting yesterday for private schools in Doha. SEC officials reiterated the precautions that schools need to take to guard against the spread of H1N1 infection and to make the school as safe and as health an environment as possible. We have followed the SEC advice and put a full range of preventative measures in place. It was confirmed at the meeting that schools will be opening on Sunday 04 September 2009. There are many rumours circulating about additional delays, but the information we have received from the SEC is that school will reopen next week.
